Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has launched a scathing attack on DP William Ruto claiming that his image is dented to lecture people on corruption issues.
On Wednesday, Ruto claimed that opposition outfit NASA was being bankrolled by corrupt individuals although he failed to mention them.
But in a quick rejoinder, Joho demanded to know Ruto’s source of wealth which he says was acquired through corruption.
“I want to tell Ruto that NASA is not corrupt at all. In fact he should explain to Kenyans the source of his money and the sudden wealth he has acquired,” Joho said on Thursday in Narok.
“He is now flying with choppers yet he had nothing, He has no moral authority to lecture us on corruption no wonder he rarely talks about.”
He said NASA was being funded by well wishers among them Kenyans of low class who are yearning for change.
NASA had taken their campaign in Narok County, a region that saw tight competition between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga in 2013.
