Deputy President William Ruto has said that he is ready to negotiate with Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka in a move that could see the two gun for the presidency together in 2022.
Speaking in Machakos on Tuesday, Ruto said noted that he and the former Vice President could agree on a political matrix that would bring them together.
He, however, noted that should he fail to agree on a workable formula with Kalonzo, then the two would square it out together at the ballot.
“I have heard my friend Kalonzo say he has no problem with Uhuru, but some few issues with me. Since the race this round is between Uhuru and Raila, I am asking him to vote for Uhuru then we will sort out our differences in 2022,” he said.
“Kalonzo and I can agree on a formula in 2022 and in the event we don’t agree, we will square it out. But for now I am asking Kambas to walk with us in forming the next government,” he added.
Ruto further called on the locals to reelect the Jubilee administration, even as the poll date draws nigh.
