Area Jubilee governorship aspirant Lee Kinyanjui has said.Deputy President, William Ruto, will preside over the ceremonial presentation at Kihoto in Naivasha today (Sunday). "The other vetted beneficiaries will receive their payments through their respective accounts.This will be great news to thousands of families who were affected by the 2008 post election clashes," said Kinyanjui.He hailed the government, "for the timely response and hope that the matter will finally come to a close."While Kenyans celebrate the eventual closure of the IDP matter, as a nation Lee must learn from our previous mistakes. Lee called for peaceful coexistence political tolerance amongst leaders and the general public, to avoid cases of violence this electioneering period."Whereas it takes a few people over a short time to inflame ethnic tensions in a country, the healing and restoration of communal harmony can take a very long time. The wounds of ethnic conflict takes long to heal. And even when they heal, they leave ugly scars that serve as a reminder of the human suffering."As a leader in Nakuru County, the former NTSA chairman said he would do all in his power to safeguard the peaceful coexistence that Nakuru residents enjoy. "No person should ever be victimised because of their ethnicity or political affiliation. We are stronger together," he said.
