Bungoma Senator and NASA co-principal Moses Wetangula has hit back at Deputy President William Ruto by calling him a hypocrite over his scathing attack on the nomination of Kennedy Musyoka for EALA position.

On Thursday, Ruto criticised the nomination of Kennedy Musyoka who is the firstborn son to NASA presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka.

The DP said the nomination amounted to nepotism which was worse than tribalism.

In a quick rejoinder the Bungoma Senator said the opposition followed the due process in the nomination of Kennedy.

"We find it disturbing that Ruto has seen nothing wrong with and has never found it necessary to condemn the unilateral appointments by Jubilee," he said.

"Relatives, friends, sons and daughters of top leaders have been employed in influential positions for no reason other than kinship and friendship," he added.

Wetangula also took a swipe at President Uhuru Kenyatta saying he has also appointed his close relatives in top government jobs.

"In addition, children and relatives of the President and his deputy (are) posted in our foreign missions for no special qualifications other than kinship," Wetangula said.

"This must be deeply hypocritical, merciless and extremely cynical for them to lecture NASA and Kenyans on public morality. We advise Kenyans not to take Ruto seriously," he said.
