[Photo/afrikareporter.com]As the country enters less than 70 days to the August 8, election, political pundit Kibisu Kabatesi has come out to hypothesise the man who could be giving President Uhuru Kenyatta nightmares as he seeks for a second term at the house on the hill. The Analyst says Uhuru's biggest enemy is none other but his second in command, the son of Sugoi and self proclaimed hustler Deputy President William Ruto."Gloomy clouds are gathering. He need not look too far for the cause of his fear; the man who used to stand beside him doesn’t like standing behind the Commander-in-Chief," said Kabatesi.Kabatesi says that Ruto has devastated Uhuru's cordial relationship with politicians from his Mt Kenya stronghold all in an effort to champion a smooth ride for his 2022 presidential ambition."He is impatient, Deputy President William Ruto has stalked the President with devastating effect, cannibalising his Mt Kenya stronghold and cutting down his political “men” with the precision of a butcher. The whole Jubilee juggernaut isn’t made for reelection 2017; it has been remodelled at, Uhuru’s expense, for Ruto’s maiden run in 2022," said Kabatesi. The analyst even quotes NASA running mate Kalonzo Musyoka who once told Uhuru that Ruto is the man to blame if he goes down in history as Kenyan's first one-term president."There is this Dark Horse aura clothed in perceptions of corruption that has refused to go away whenever Ruto’s name is mentioned," said Kabatesi. Finally the analyst also said that apart from breaking Uhuru's cordial relationship with politicians from his stronghold, and casting a dark cloud around him, Kabatesi says the son of Sugoi has even offloaded very high and unrealistic expectations on the shoulders of the son of Kenya's founding father"How do I stay sane when I wake up to headlines screaming ‘Delays jolt mega wind power project’, ‘Uhuru’s grand ride nears but no insurance cover for SGR wagons’: and, ‘Uganda, Tanzania sign deal for world’s longest heated pipeline’ (after they snubbed me), all in one morning, and still hope to win the 70.1 per cent votes the DP offloaded on me," said Kabatesi.
