Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has been told to stop blaming Deputy President William Ruto on his current political woes.
Masii MCA Betty Nzisa said the deputy president is neither responsible nor involved in what befell Mutua at the Court of Appeal and Machakos County Assembly where members passed a motion to oust him from office recently.
Nzisa said the governor should be careful on who he involves in his political woes and war.
She said Ruto hasn't spoken to the MCA's nor influenced them in any way and he hasn't shown any interest in Machakos County politics.
"Please Governor Mutua, leave Ruto alone since he isn't to blame for what you are going through. Let him be, I can attest that we haven't met Ruto nor discussed with him about anything and let it be known he hasn't paid us anything," Nzisa said.
Nzisa addressed the press in Machakos town on Wednesday.
She asked the governor to respect the deputy president the way he's respected.
Nzisa asked Mutua to expose those involved in corruption as he had earlier promised other than beating around the bush.
She blamed the development stalemate in Machakos County on Mutua's woes stating that it's long since the county got tangible development.
"It has been over a year since the county felt development, we are lagging behind while neighbouring counties like Kitui and Makueni are flourishing in development," Nzisa said.
This comes a day after members of the Machakos County Assembly moved a motion to oust the governor from his position and have the speaker Florence Mwangangi take over as the governor.
However, Mutua said the MCA's had been paid by his political nemesis to frustrate him and they won't succeed.
