The Jubilee administration has focused on working for Kenyans and will not be distracted by sideshows, Deputy President William Ruto has said.
While speaking on Wednesday night during an interview in one of the local TV stations, Ruto highlighted Jubilee's scorecard saying he was proud that the government had brought sanity to banking sector thus proving wrong the naysayers who predicted the economy will collapse.
"Free maternal services have saved the lives of hundreds of mothers and children. We are proud of this achievement. Devolution is transforming Kenya because of Jubilee. This is because we have provided resources and leadership to guide the process," said the DP.
He also said the government had connected more Kenyans to electricity in three years than what has been done in the last 50 years noting that it was something phenomenal.
He added: "The government has given the anti-graft body teeth to carry out its mandate. Those found culpable have left office. This is a first in Kenya. We have taken action against suspects, prosecution and conviction are the ambits of other institutions. Give us credit for what we have done. We have played our part."
