The DP is expected to, later on, hold a public rally at the modern Kisii Stadium, an event which is expected to attract several leaders from the Gusii community.

Speaking to the reporter on Thursday, the Nyaribari Chache MP said the college will enhance more enrollments to the medical colleges in the region to deal with the acute shortage of medical staffs in area dispensaries.

“The major important thing that the DP is going to do is opening officially construction of KMTC which will help us offload the Kisii branch which ha seen admitting several students across the country,” he said.

“Most of our dispensaries have been suffering from understaffing and I think the new college can help produce more man power that can be hired to help our county spur in the health sector. The project is timely and I thank the Jubilee administration for that,” he said.

He urged the community to support Jubilee government as a way of allowing the government to bring more social economic projects to the region.

“The Jubilee government has been quite friendly to our county despite receiving little votes in 2013. I hope that this time we will vote the President and his team given the great work they are doing to us,” he said.
