Deputy President William Ruto on Thursday shocked traders after he carried a cool Sh12 million in cash to the annual Kimalel goat auction in Baringo County.

Ruto carried the millions in a brown bag and kept it close to his legs as he sat.

After he bought up to 1000 goats Ruto said: “Chukua hiyo bag, kuna 12 million hapo ndani.”

The suitcase was safely taken to a nearby KCB stand where the payments were processed.
