Deputy President William Ruto has denied having any personal differences with ODM leader Raila Odinga, adding that he is the only person to have delivered for him.
The two leaders worked together in 2007 elections and parted ways towards 2013 elections following feuds at the Orange party.
In a move targeting to reconcile with Odinga supporters, Ruto said he still respects the former PM despite being in different political camps.
“Jakom (Raila) should be the last person to condemn me. I stood with him more than any other politician and I delivered,” he told Mbita residents on Wednesday.
He added: “He often calls me names but I have nothing against him. I still respect him as my senior even though we do not coincide politically.”
Over the last few years, Ruto has been a target of opposition leaders with Odinga leading onslaught against him over alleged corruption.
In Kisumu, Ruto endured torrid moments when angry locals heckled him when addressing them in presence of Uhuru Kenyatta.
