A highly charged Deputy President William Ruto has warned that President Uhuru Kenyatta and himself will find themselves The Hague if opposition leader Raila Odinga is elected in August.
Against all the odds in 2013, the two were elected to office despite uncertainty about crimes against humanity they were facing in the International Criminal Court.
And just under two months to elections, the ICC cases, which they had been cleared off, has yet again resurfaced.
“We know what he is capable of doing and I want to challenge Jubilee supporters to stand with us because we have a purpose for Kenyans.
“He (Raila Odinga) works with foreigners and his aim is to arrest us. We can’t allow imperialists to deny us freedom when we are working hard to improve the economy of our nation,” added Ruto.
Similar sentiments were echoed by National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale who accused Odinga of conspiring with foreigners to government the country.
In his earlier trip to Nandi this month, Odinga had distanced himself from ICC cases in which Ruto had been associated with.
