Deputy President William Ruto has said that the road from Githurai 45 roundabout through Progressive to Mwihoko will be tarmacked.

The DP says that the population increase in the area has led to residents suffering while travelling. The deputy president who was speaking during a fundraiser at Githurai SDA church which had been organised by the area MP Esther Gathogo said that the infrastructure in Githurai area are now super stretched.

Ruto said it will be his personal initiative to ensure that the road is tarmacked as soon as possible.

The area MP urged the residents to join hands with their leaders in fighting the problems facing them as well as bringing infrastructural development in the area.

“Let us work together for our own good. The county government in conjunction with the national government are working together on a plan to bring enough water to the residents as well as expand and tarmac the roads here,” said Gathogo.

The legislator added that she is working hard to ensure that joblessness among the youths goes down to help reduce crime in the area.

More than six million shillings was raised during the function.
