[Photo:standard.co.ke]Deputy president William Ruto has said the October 26 fresh presidential poll will go as as planned.In his address during a Jubilee party campaign rally in Nanyuki on Wednesday, Ruto said demands and resignations will not stop the election from taking place."No matter how demands, no matter how many resignations, we are ready for election on the 26 because Kenya cannot be held hostage by interests and by force who do not want this country to succeed."Ruto's remarks came hours after Dr Roselyn Akombe resigned from IEBC saying the commission is not prepared to conduct the October poll.The National Super Alliance (Nasa) has also maintained there will be no election if their irreducible demands are not met.Earlier, President Uhuru Kenyatta had addressed the nation and called on Kenyans to pray but did not speak on Akombe's resignation.
