So divisive have been the differences that even Kipchumba Murkomen, a close ally of Ruto, has publicly warned that the marriage could be terminated.

"There are some individuals in the office of the president who are working tirelessly to block Ruto. If these cracks are not cured, then we may build a wall," he said.

On Tuesday, Registrar of Political Partis Lucy Ndung'u told Nation that United Green Party and Grand Dream Development Party were recenetly issued with certificates.

In depth investigations intimates that the two parties are linked to politicians from Rift Valley, some of whom have publicly hinted a possible move from Jubilee.

The MPs linked to the new parties include Cornelly Serem (Aldai), Samson Cheragei (Nandi), Oscar Sudi (Kapsaret) and Caleb Kositany (Soi).

"We are thinking of a new vehicle ahead of 2022. We cannot work with saboteurs. We cannot work with those blocking DP's 2022 chances. We can't work with enemies," said Cherargei, in reference to lifestyle audit which he believes targets the DP.

In parliament on Tuesday, Mr. Serem openly linked President Uhuru Kenyatta's brother, Muhoho Kenyatta to controversial contraband sugar business which has further split the two camps.

Sudi, another close associate of the DP, has often rubbished lifestyle audit and even called for probe on Uhuru's family.
