Deputy President William Ruto has criticised leaders who are out to divide the country as they seek for various political and government positions.
He said Kenyans had just come out of a divisive 2017 general election and that it was time for elected leaders to unite and serve the people.
He said the Jubilee government was focusing its energy on bettering the lives of the people and realising healthy, equitable development, mainly through the Big Four Agenda initiated by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"The clamour for power and jostling for positions is short sighted and meant to benefit a few at the expense of wananchi, whose immediate need is service delivery," he said on Saturday.
The DP was speaking when he engaged residents and leaders during the thanksgiving ceremony of Bureti MP Japhet Kiptergech, Kapkatet, in Kericho County.
