Kimitei Kiplagat, a 93-year-old elder, had complained that his regalia, that had gone missing, was borrowed and used for coronation of Ruto as Tugen elder without his knowledge.

One Johah Talaam, who had borrowed it months ago, returned it on Saturday evening and claimed that it had been taken by Ruto's handlers without his knowledge as well.

"It happened, the regalia was used while performing a cultural dance I had it but I was approached by some people who wanted it used.

"I later asked where it was but I was told to keep silent. I was shocked and I have never been well since then," said a shocked Talaam.

Talaam revealed the ordeal after Kimitei raised an alarm over his missing regalia and the D's handlers returned it to a local chief.

The old man was happy after retrieving his regalia and insisted that he has no problem if people ask for it to be used in various coronation exercises.
