Deputy President William Ruto has said that Jubilee has no plans to share power with the Opposition coalition NASA.

Speaking on Monday in Mombasa, Ruto noted that NASA should forget having a grand coalition government with Jubilee, adding that such a move would be unconstitutional.

He challenged NASA leader Raila Odinga to face off with President Uhuru Kenyatta during the forthcoming presidential repeat polls.

“A power-sharing government is unconstitutional. What we want is for Kenyans to decide through the ballot,” he said.

On his part, President Kenyatta dared the Opposition chief to bow out of the race.

“The Supreme Court declared that we repeat the poll and we are ready for it. But our competitor has issues with everything,” the Head of State remarked.

The Opposition has on numerous occasions threatened to boycott the repeat elections, until their demands on electoral reforms are meant.

The calls have sparked anti-IEBC protests across the country, with NASA supporters calling for the resignation of IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba who they accuse of bungling the August polls.
