Deputy President William Ruto has encouraged all Governors to collectively work together with their Deputies so as to keep them busy.
Speaking during the closure of the 5th Devolution Conference in Kakamega county, the deputy president said that idle minds was the likely contributions of some the deputy governors engaging in some unusual bedroom activities.
The Deputy President though seems not to refer to the incident that happened to Kirinyaga Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri, says that leaving deputy governors jobless was dangerous as temptations was all over.
"To avoid the great risk of the devil engaging idle minds in your offices, because you have kept your deputies jobless, is really risky. So please it is important that the relationship between governors and their deputies is worked out so that the devil doesn’t have the space to use any idle mind to drive any evil agenda,” said Ruto.
Kirinyaga DG who has since recorded a statement at Thika Police Station, said that he was a victim of well-designed criminal gang who wanted to kill him but it was only by the grace of God that he was still alive.
“I am a victim of a well-designed criminal gang that set a trap for me. They were armed to the teeth and their target was to kill me, but I pleaded with them to spare my life. I’m alive by the grace of God.” he said.
