Deputy President William Ruto on Thursday warned Gusii community against voting opposition NASA in August elections.

Gusii community has seen bruising battle between Jubilee and NASA politicians with analysts claiming that the region will be critical in August elections.

At Ekerenyo, Ruto said the community stood a chance of making huge strides in development should they elect Jubilee administration.

“The other time we did not work together but as government, we have always worked with you,” he said.

“I want you to make a decision and work with us because Jubilee means development. Those in opposition failed to develop this region when they were in government,” he added.

In 2013 elections, the region voted overwhelmingly for Odinga with at least 70 percent of votes cast in his favour.

But since then, Jubilee top brass have visited the region in not less than fifteen times, the highest number of trips made by sitting government leaders.
