[Photo/zipo.co.ke]Deputy President William Ruto would warmly welcome the support of NASA leader Raila Odinga in his presidential bid in 2022 general election, a top Jubilee leader has said.According to Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen, Raila is the only politician in the country who can give Ruto a run for his money in the race to State House and thus by backing him, Raila would definately make Ruto a president. The Senator was reacting to opposition leader's remarks that Ruto can only ascend to presidency only through him."Get it from me, Ruto will not win the presidency in 2022 without Raila," the NASA leader said on Thursday during a burial ceremony in Kericho County.Murkomen said Raila should throw his weight behind the DP as a way of paying back after Ruto 'made' him the Prime Minister in the previous regime."William Ruto welcomes the support of Raila who is his only possible contender in 2022. In any case, Raila owes Ruto for making him Prime Minister," he said in reference to the controversial 2007 election between Raila and retired President Mwai Kibaki. The Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator further said Raila’s remarks were a sign that he had accepted that he lost in 2017 and was now focussed on succession politics after President Uhuru Kenyatta retirement."We also welcome Tinga’s admission finally that matters elections are over and that the only conversation is about 2022," the Majority Leader said speaking to People Daily.
