President Uhuru Kenyatta will win October 17 repeat election by a wide margin, a confident Deputy President William Ruto has said.
Speaking during a campaign rally in Kericho County on Friday, Ruto maintained that Jubilee was 'denied' victory in the August 8 election.
The DP faulted Supreme Court's ruling that nullified Uhuru's win, accusing the court of going to bed with the National Super Alliance (NASA).
"Our competitors hatched an evil plan to overturn the will of the people but we are ready to show the world that Uhuru actually won," he said speaking at Kapkatet Grounds.
Ruto said Jubilee will return to the ballot to respect the court ruling, threatening Uhuru will take the oath of office if the Opposition continues with the monkey business aimed at derailing the fresh election.
"We are going back to the polls not because we lost but because we respect the rule of law and the Constitution. If NASA continues with threats, Uhuru will be sworn in as president because he won," he warned.
