Raila Odinga's NASA coalition was after all destined to lose to President Uhuru Kenyatta, DP William Ruto has said.
IEBC declared Uhuru winner of August polls only for the Supreme Court to nullify the outcome and subsequently order for fresh polls with Raila boycotted.
And at Kitale on Saturday Ruto said: "NASA took years to know their candidate while Jubilee settled for Uhuru long ago. I don't think they could have expected miracles."
"They took ages to select Raila while as Jubilee, we had organised our house years to elections. I think they should now focus on 2022."
A defiant Raila took a presidential oath in a fully packed Uhuru Park with the government terming it as 'inconsequential'.
Raila, 72, had indicated that he would exit political scene by 2022, a claim some analysts insist could be 'illusion'.
