Kiharu Member of Parliament Irungu Kang’ata has said Peter Kenneth can make a good running mate to Deputy President William Ruto come 2022.
Kang’ata said Ruto and Kenneth can get support from the entire country.
Speaking during Murang’a County Education Day over the weekend, the MP said Mt Kenya region politicians will back DP Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.
“Right after President Uhuru Kenyatta, we shall support Ruto for the presidency and Kenneth as his deputy, which is already a concluded matter,” said Kang’ata.
Currently, Kenneth is seeking Jubilee party ticket to vie for Nairobi County governor post in the August general election.
He is facing stiff competition from Senator Mike Sonko, who has exuded confidence in trouncing him in the party primaries for the ticket.
