Deputy President William Ruto will be sent to political oblivion after August elections due to many ‘enemies’ he has created, observes Dismas Mokua.
In his Rift Valley backyard, the DP is facing resistance from a host of leaders among them Senator Gideon Moi and Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto.
And Mokua says the political differences from his backyard would dismantle his political career should he fail to reconcile with them.
“Ruto is his own enemy. He is fighting a host of wars which are not healthy for his survival in politics,” Mokua said in an interview with KTN.
He added: “If he cannot reconcile with some of his critics, I don’t see him surviving beyond August elections, worse if Uhuru Kenyatta loses.”
The DP is keen to take presidency in 2022 and has launched serious campaigns across the country which focuses on his political future.
Recently, he backed Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago after the county boss threatened to support opposition NASA having accused the DP of supporting one of his rivals.
