Mwaboza made the revelations on Saturday stating he will vie for the post on a Jubilee Party of Kenya (JP) ticket.

He at the same time accused his rivals of claiming they have President Uhuru’s support.

“Let them know the JP ticket will not be given on a silver platter. We will go to voters to elect a candidate. Let them stop boasting that they have the President’s unconditional support,” said Mwaboza as quoted by the Standard.

Mwaboza, who is Deputy President William Ruto’s legal advisor further urged the migrant communities in the county to help him pick a running mate.

He will now face off with Suleiman Shahbal, in the battle for the Jubilee ticket.

However, Shahbal has said he is ready to face anyone in the nomination for the party ticket.

If he clinches the ticket, he will either face off with Cord opponents among them the incumbent Governor Ali Hassan Joho, Senator Omar Hassan or Nyali MP Hezron Awiti.
