Deputy President William Ruto has appealed to companies targeted by NASA's boycott call not to be distracted.
According to the DP, the call by NASA to boycott products and services of certain companies is an extortion racket.
NASA legislators on Friday asked its supporters not to use Safaricom, Bidco Industries and Brookside products and services.
This is part of their plan to pile pressure on the Jubilee government to listen to their demand.
Through his twitter account, Ruto urged corporates not to fall prey to the latest 'scheme' by the National Super Alliance.
"That companies have to 'donate' to supremo to avoid listing in the brazen and bizarre extortion racket-styled 'economic boycott'? Criminal!
"As GOK, we ask all companies to continue to partner with Kenyans, pay taxes only to KRA and reject the extortion scheme-styled economic boycott,” tweeted Ruto.
NASA stated that they will be giving updates on companies to be boycotted.
