The Deputy President, Wiliam Ruto on Thursday met with political leaders from the Western region of Kenya allied to NASA at his Karen office.

The meeting is one of the very many meetings the vice president has been conducting across the country in order to woo the NASA perceived stronghold to his side. 

William Ruto who is eying 2022 elections top sit, engaged the leaders in talks concerning developing the Western region and Kenya as a whole. The deputy president called on the leaders to focus on development rather than politicking with other leaders because leaders come and go.

"We should know that leaders come and go, but development is there to stay," advised Ruto.

He also urged the leaders to make good use of opportunities with an aim to uplifting the living standards of the people.

"This is why we should we should make use of our opportunities as elected leaders to engage in activities aimed at uplifting the people's lives," The DP added.

Addressing the the 19 members of parliament drawn from the NASA affiliate parties of ODM, Ford-Kenya and ANC, the vice president urged the leaders to respect each other and avoid politics of enmity tin order to unite the nation.

"Even as we do politics, we should respect one another, we should discoursge politics of enmity if we are to attain a united nation," the DP urged the leaders.
