President Uhuru Kenyatta is said to be opposed to three people fronted by DP William Ruto for Cabinet Secretary positions.
For almost two months since taking oath of office, the two are to constitute full cabinet over alleged internal wrangles.
"I will ensure I have given names of men and women with integrity. It is going to happen soon," said Uhuru when naming partial cabinet.
Understandably, before flying to South Africa, Uhuru and Ruto reportedly disagreed on some names proposed to cabinet.
And a Borabu politician and a confident of DP Ruto says Uhuru may have refused to accommodate a few individuals allied to Ruto.
"It is not easy at times to agree and the process could take longer. Some names may have been opposed by the president," he said in confidence.
Those caught in the crossfire include Esther Koimet, a daughter to former powerful minister Nicholas Biwott, Ababu Namwamba and Davis Chirchir.
For months now, political pundits have been linking Namwamba to Ruto's political future.
