Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka showered praises on Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto on Thursday adding that the coincidence of him sharing name with DP William Ruto was by accident.
Rutto, a fierce critic of Jubilee regime had his CCM party joining opposition outfit NASA in a ceremony held at Bomas on Thursday.
And when tasked to invite Ruto to deliver a speech, Mr. Musyoka said the Bomet Governor will be judged rightfully by history due to his dedication to fight impunity.
‘I am privileged to invite Bomet Governor, a man of integrity and a dedicated servant of our people. He is a defender of truth and I am proud of him,” he said.
Musyoka added: “By the way, it’s quite unfortunate that he shares name with DP William Ruto. But that was just by accident because he is quite above petty politics.”
The DP has been a key mobiliser of Jubilee team and has often dismissed the opposition coalition for allegedly lacking a clear agenda for the country.
While in a campaign trail last year at Ukambani, the DP labeled Musyoka a ‘lost’ son and urged locals to pray for him.
