Leaders from Mt Kenya and Central Kenya regions have urged the government to focus on development issues and ignore those who were still suffering from elections hangovers.

Nyeri County Governor, Mutahi Kahiga said that the government should ignore those dreaming for an election before 2022 as they have no political agendas for the country.

"The Government should ignore those who are still dreaming that there will be another election before 2022 because they have no agenda for this country,” said Governor Kahiga.

They said Residents in the region were fully behind the Deputy President comes 2022 when President Uhuru Kenyatta term in office ends.

"We want to make it clear that the people of Central and Mt Kenya are thankful people who will not forget the support Mr. Ruto has given us. We will demonstrate this come 2022,” said Mr. Maina.

They told those in opposition to be prepared for another defeat in 2022 by the deputy president William Ruto who has announced his intentions to ascend to the top seat in the land.

"Those in Opposition have already started going meetings, seminars, retreats, and workshop looking for its flag bearer in 2022 to compete against Mr. Ruto and that we will definitely beat them,” said Mr. Kuria.

The commissioned roads would cost the Government a whopping Ksh 3.8 billion.

The roads would including Kiawara – Mugunda – Nairutia and Karai-Nairuta-Kiawara –Narumoru-Babito roads in Kieni constituency and the access road to Karatina University in Mathira Constituency.
