The Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji has assured affected families of the Solai Dam tragedy that prosecution will be opened and justice served once the investigations are over.

Speaking on Monday when he visited the area, DPP urged the general public to be patient and allow completion of investigations within stipulated 14 days.

He added that all those who might have erred during the construction of the killer dam will face the full force of the law.  

“If there is anyone who erred during the construction of the dam in the area will face the law. However, we call for patience as the investigations go on,” he said.

The dam, owned by Manskul Patel, burst and swept away several villages leading to the death of up to 46 people.

There was massive destruction of property too.
