Samburu West Member of Parliament Naisula Lesuuda has lauded Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko after he charged in court two politicians allied to the Opposition alliance, NASA.

On Monday, Tobiko ordered the prosecution of Kisumu Senator Fred Outa and former area Deputy Governor Ruth Odinga in connection with the attack of IEBC officials undergoing training in the area.

The duo, however denied the charges and were released on a personal bond of Sh500,000.

But Lesuuda hailed the move saying it was a clear indication that the DPP was committed to fighting those who are hell-bent to obstruct the repeat presidential election.

"This should be a firm warning to politicians who harbour similar thoughts. In fact, Tobiko should cast his net wider and fish out other politicians who think they can infringe on other Kenyans' constitutional rights and get away with it. No one should be spared," she said.

In an opinion piece published by The Standard on Wednesday, the MP cautioned politicians intending to stop Kenyans from voting for their favourite candidates.

"No man is above the law. Kenya belongs to all of us. Those who want to vote should be allowed to do so, wherever they are," Lesuuda added.
