Maendeleo Chap Chap Party (MCCP) leader Dr Alfred Mutua met aspirants of various elective posts, through the party's ticket.

Speaking during the  follow up meeting with Nairobi City County MCCP aspirants at Chap Chap House, he said the party continues to attract aspirants for various elective posts from all regions, an indicator of the true change it represents.

"The party will soon do popularisation tours in the city county to drum up support for our candidates,'' he said, Wednesday in Lavington.

He noted Democracy entailed allowing the population to make independent informed political choices, and that his party was playing that role.

''As we approach the general elections, I appeal to fellow leaders to preach peace and tolerance for a unified and prosperous Nation. That is what separates us from most of the other parties. That is what makes us unique,'' said the Machakos governor.

He also met aspirants from Kisii County, where he said he was pleased the aspirants were not only zealous and full of energy but also realised the importance of having development conscious leaders in office.

The delegation was led by aspiring Kisii governor Architect Boniface Omboto. Aspiring Women Representative Rebecca Kemuma (Akema) was also in attendance.
