Nyatigo said the rumours being spread by a section of politicians in Nyamira County are designed to disrupt his gubernatorial bid ahead of the general elections.

The politician, who declared his interest in the hotly contested area county governorship said said he is not willing to be anybody’s running mate and will go for nothing less than the governorship position.

“My enemies have begun spreading rumours that I have reached a consensus with Nyagarama to be his deputy as he goes for the governorship, other rumours also have it that I have declared interest in the West Mugirango parliamentary seat but none of these is true”, he added

He was addressing a group of professionals drawn from Nyamira County on Friday, where he stated that he is not opposed to negotiations which will bring the best leadership the people of Nyamira.

“Let the negotiations on the county leadership be genuine. Negotiations which will be abandoned at the last minute by politicians because of their hidden agenda will not help anybody” he added
