A first-year student from the University of Eldoret was on Wednesday busted in a bar at Kesses on the outskirts of Eldoret town with a married man.
The lady identified as Zippy Muthoki is said to have traveled from the Chepkoilel based university to visit a friend at Kesses center who introduced her to the man.
The man who appears to be in his late 40s took the girl out before they proceeded to the bar where they spent the night. Unknown to them, someone had informed the wife who also resides at Kesses, and after a careful plan, she ambushed them at a room in the bar.
"I always knew he was cheating on me. And today morning I received a call from a friend of mine who told me that he had seen my husband with another lady at this bar," the woman shouted in anger.
Other women who were also present complained of how students from the nearby universities snatched their husbands.
"Most of these students take advantage of their looks and the fact that they are learned and take away our husbands. But from today henceforth we will make sure we beat any lady that we will catch with a married man," another lady said.
The woman had begun beating the young girl before she was rescued by the residents. The owner of the bar intervened and took control of the situation before the crowd grew.
