There was drama at Kiondoo shopping centre in the outskirts of Nakuru town, when a middle-aged man was stripped and washed in public for allegedly going for days without a bath.
The bodaboda operator working in the Nakuru area was stripped naked by his colleagues who were fed up by his smell, saying he had gone for several days without a bath and the smell was unbearable.
According to other the operators, clients complained to them about their colleague who never wanted to take a bath.
Moses Kamau, an operator said they were forced to act as the man had embarrassed them for far too long, adding that their warning to the man had fallen on deaf ears.
“We were forced to act, we have talked to him severally about his hygiene but the man gave as a deaf ear,” said Njeru.
Njeru’s wife Ann Waithera, praised the youths saying he had tried to talk to him but he does not listen and whenver she raises the issue, its always an issue to argue.
"He never listens to me whenever I try telling him to bath, its always a reason for us to argue. This should be a lesson to others who do not maintain their body hygienic standard,” said Waithera.
