The outspoken activist said that the area residents alleged that Duale's brother-in-law was involved in the land grab that triggered protests by students.

''Hey @HonAdenDuale Garisaa High School land is being grabbed. The community allege that its your brother-in law who is grabbing it. The students have protested in the streets but the adults are afraid of you. Do the right thing, protect the school land from your relathief,'' Bonface Mwangi tweeted.

The tweet adds a layer of spice to what is turning out to be a nail-biting drama.

Mr Mwangi joins the ranks of public figure spoiling for a fight with the outspoken Garissa Township MP.

Last week, COTU Secretary-General Francis Atwoli warned him against interfering in workers affairs as they would come down on him like a ton of bricks.
