There was drama at the Siaya Police Station on Tuesday when members of a church stormed it demanding prosecution of four church members alleged to have abducted a priest.
They also demanded that police hand over the arrested church members so that they be punished.
Police had a hard time to contain the worshippers who were armed with wooden swords.
Those arrested had been accused of abducting pastor Wycliffe Wasonga in Bondo on Saturday.
Wasonga was found alive in Kisumu on Monday.
He was taken to the Siaya Police Sation where he reported that he was abducted by four people who blindfolded him before throwing him inside a car booth.
The demonstrators also accused those arrested of plotting to kill their Bishop, Otieno Adika.
Siaya OCPD Ancient Kaloki said investigations into the incident had been commenced and those implicated in the abduction will be arraigned in court to answer to the charges.
"The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) is still handling the matter and four suspects in police custody are recording statements," he said.
"We will decide what actions to take once we finish recording statements."
