University students at Daystar University have clashed with administrators over poor service and fee increments.
According to reports, the students have opted to boycott classes citing dilapidated facilities.
Several university classrooms were empty on campus and there has been no confirmation as to when the boycott is set to come to an end.
This follows recent reports of students complaining over substandard facilities and hiked tuition.
Students have even taken to social media to voice their discontentment with the schools administrations and have called upon the Vice Chancellor to come up with a solution.
Students were seen walking out of the Nairobi and Athi River campuses in protest of the universities refusal to address their problems.
Nairobi Campus leader Aloys Otieno says the boycott was planned to help raise awareness of issues currently facing the university.
“We are demonstrating here (Nairobi) and in Athi River because a few people must go. A lot of money is being embezzled and there is a problem that needs to be addressed. School fees is being raised with no justifiable reasons and the Vice Chancellor has refused to dialogue with us for many months,” said Otieno as reported by Citizen.
