The family says that their was no written agreement when their grandfather donated the piece of land to construct Daraja Mbili Primary school in 1967.

Drama was witnessed on Thursday morning when tje family of Stanley Ongaga started to put down trees inside the compound.

Questioned why they were doing it, the family members said that the land was under their ownership and they had right to access it at will.

The incident then led to a heated argument after parents and teachers tried to intervene and stop the family from cutting the trees.

“The land belongs to us simply because our grandfather donated it without any agreement and we demand that we get the portion of the land or else we move to court to seek clarity” said Elvis Ongaga the family's spokesperson.

However, Mr John Machuki an elder intervened and volunteered to help solve the matter.

Mr Machuki said that he was there when the land was being donated to the school.

“As elders we supported the construction of Daraja Mbili Primary then. I will ensure the matter is solve ammicably instead of following the court route," said Machuki.
