A young woman shocked many after she left a bag containing a seven-month dead baby.
The incident, which happened in Kisii town in Kisii County, caught many by surprise, with the lady disappearing into thin air without a trace.
The lady is said to have sought help from another lady, who she requested to look after her bag as she picked something from the nearest shop.
It is after the lady failed to show up that traders and other bystanders decided to cut open the bag, only to discover the dead body of a baby boy.
The suspicious lady, who had already vanished, is said to have been communicating in Swahili only, and there were indications that she might not have been from around the town.
The traders are said to have tried to find the lady to no avail, and instead informed the police who came and collected the body.
The body was then taken to Kisii General Hospital as police launched a manhunt to locate the lady.
The locals have since been urged to be keen with similar pieces of luggage in order to avoid such cases.
