The pastor known as David Kamuju from Kisiani Pentecostal Church, is said to have been conducting an open preaching at the market for the past week.

The man identified as Jackson Midi, who also runs a shop at Kisiani, confronted and threatened the pastor wanting him to wrap up his system address and leave.

The two then engaged in a physical battle before the congregation came in and intervened.

According to the sellers, the pastor has been making controversial claims pointing at specific individuals for being sinful.

“He said Midi’s possessions were not genuine. He has been calling people names and making annoying jokes at some point. He is so violent,” said Rose Adhiambo, who owns a grocery at the market.

According to Mary Ogola, a fishmonger at the market, the pastor has always deviated from preaching, and 'targeted' some individuals he knew.

After the incident, the controversial pastor declined to leave saying no one could stop him from spreading the word of God.
