Kisii town residents were treated with a rear incident on Thursday when a middle-aged man killed himself over handouts.
According to key eye witnesses the man was allegedly given one thousand shilling note to give his colleagues by a Jubilee agent and disappeared with it.
"The man disappeared with the money and when he heard that his colleagues were looking for him re ran to one of the mama mboga near Naivas supermarket and took a knife a stabbed himself several times," said George Kegoro a witness.
Confirming the incident Kisii police boss Tom Mutisya said the man killed himself however they are carrying out investigation to know the exact motive.
"The man has been identified as George Karuri and he has been taken to Kisii mortuary as we launch further investigation," said Mutisya.
Mutisya told locals to stop spreading any rumor regarding his death.
