A section of Members of County Assembly (MCA) and County Executive Committee (CeC) members in Nairobi almost engaged in fist fights, Friday morning.

This is after they engaged in 'fights' and chaos, over office space.

Daily Nation reported that the two sides clashed over the ownership of an office located on the fourth floor of the Northern Wing of City Hall, which houses County headquarters.Trouble began when the County Assembly allegedly erected a metallic barrier to prevent staff from the office of governor Dr Evans Kidero, from accessing the disputed office, which houses the county’s Valuation Department.

However, County Secretary Robert Ayisi accused a top County Assembly official, of working to frustrate the County Executive arm.

He said the barrier was erected in 2016, with the disputed office housing over 600 files, which the executive greatly depend on, to carry out day-to-day operations.
