There was a bit of drama on Wednesday as the Kenya Police posted on Twitter informing Safaricom that they had been blocked by the telecommunications giant from accessing its customer care page.
''@PoliceKE @Safaricom_Care @SafaricomPLC@Safaricom_Care We are unable to interact with you as we are blocked. Cc: @SafaricomPLC'' the tweet read.
The tweet was accompanied by an image to prove that the Kenya Police had actually been blocked.
Safaricom picked up the call of distress from the police and unblocked the affected account.
The police confirmed that they had been unblocked in a pinned tweet.
''Thank you @safaricomcare. All is well now,'' the pinned tweet read.
It is not yet clear why Safaricom blocked our uniformed officers.
It would be interesting to hear what led to the move.
