A rare drama unfolded in Saga village, Garissa County when a furious landlord lashed out at a lady whom he had rented two bedrooms 2 months ago and ordered her to pack her belongings and vacate the premises on Thursday.
The landlord revealed that he was told by reliable tenants in the plot that the lady was practising prostitution in the plot and uses the proceeds to settle the monthly rents.
On that fateful night, the landlord arrived at the premises unnoticed and proceeded directly to the lady's room where he confronted an unidentified man with the lady in a compromising situation.
Unhappy with the whole situation, the landlord furiously demanded to know why the lady brought in strangers despite her being unmarried.
"Who is this man. You said that you were unmarried," seethed the landlord.
Efforts by the lady to exonerate herself fell in deaf ears as the landlord remained adamant that she vacates the plot immediately lest she faces the music with her illicit lover.
The entire fracas pulled a small crowd of curious tenants who watched the unfolding drama with interest.
Some tenants were heard thanking the landlord for evicting her, claiming her actions were corrupting the morality of their children.
"We are happy that she has been evicted. That kind of behaviour is unacceptable," opined an enraged tenant.
The embattled lady vanished slowly as the other tenants retreated to their rooms amid chuckling.
