Two upcoming athletes caused a stir at a wedding ceremony when they tried to stop their agent from tying the knot until he pays them money that he owed them.
The drama left Kiangoso residents shocked, with the officiating pastor forced to intervene and save the situation.
The two men said the agent owed them over SH51,000, which they paid when he promised to sponsor them to Angola to participate in a race.
The man is then said to have disappeared from the face of the earth, and their (athletes) efforts to trace him bore no fruits.
They then decided to wait for him on his wedding day, after getting wind of his planned ceremony.
They then traced him to a church at Kerongo, and walked in as the ceremony progressed with the crowd happily singing.
The whole family was left in shock, with the officiating pastor forced to intervene and asked the couple to find some cash before he could officially pronounce them husband and wife.
The wife then gave the two men Sh10,000, which calmed them down but not before the man committed to begin paying them on a monthly basis until he cleared the debt.
The wedding then went on as planned, but the attendees could be heard in hushed tones tearing into the man, with others saying he should first repent before taking such step.
