There was drama in Maseno University, Siriba Campus on Tuesday night after a group of boyfriends ganged up and beat a man who was preying on their girlfriends (sponsor).
Speaking to a Hivisasa writer, the boyfriends claimed that the sponsor was known for picking up their girlfriends to spoil them whenever they were free.
"This sponsor had allocated each of our girlfriends a specific day to be picked up for a date. On the day of the date, our girlfriends would give us excuses in order to meet this sponsor while leaving us unattended," said one of the boys.
"We realised this after discussing between ourselves how our girlfriends had changed lately, and how they kept giving us excuses on specific days. We decided to hack their WhatsApp chats and were able to deduce the time, and days they were pick up, the amount of money each of them were sent everyday," said another boy.
"We concluded that it was the same number that was doing all these chats and sending money so definitely it was this sponsor that was responsible for our demise. He was setting the standards too high since our girlfriends had turned out to be too demanding on materialistic things. He was thoroughly spoiling our girlfriends," he added.
The boys explained that after discovering who the man was, they planned how discipline him, and luckily he fell into their trap.
"We knew when he would pick up and drop off one the girls. After he had dropped her, and was leaving, a girl we arranged to stop him did so, and the man stopped, and got put of his car. On his way back, we ambushed him, dragged him out of the car and beat him up mercilessly," one of the students narrated.
The sponsor cried out for help attracting the attention of students who were busy at their hostels.
Speaking after the beating, the man noted that he will never go out with the young ladies again.
'I have learnt my lessons and will stop contacting your girlfriends. Please don't kill me," said the sponsor.
