The company employees embarked on demolishing the apartment veranda claiming that the building base was lying on the company’s water supply pipes.

The owner of the building interrupted the company’s activities saying he hadn’t been notified of the same.

One of the company's employee told a Hivisasa writer that one of the main water supply pipes had burst beneath the house, and there was no way it could be fixed without destroying building's veranda.

“The water is flowing out of the busted pipes beneath this veranda. It should be demolished first before all this area gets flooded,” the employee disclosed.

The demolition was paused when the owner threatened to take the company to court.

“If you demolish the whole of this veranda you are risking the safety of this building and the people residing in it. I haven’t been notified either,”said the owner.
