A woman in Makara, South Mugirango sub-county in Kisii county was on Tuesday caught red-handed by her husband cheating.
The husband works and lives in Luo Nyanza, and is said to be away most of the time.
According to the villagers, he is married to a lady whom he was not supposed to marry according to the Kisii culture.
The man is said to have come home for Christmas as usual and left on the 26th to go back and attend to his business when the wife decided to take advantage of his absence.
The wife is said to have called the man at around 8 pm on the same day to inquire if he got home safely, something that triggered suspicion, forcing the man to start his journey back immediately.
He got to his house only to find the wife in the act with another man in their house, and he called on his brother who stays in the same compound to accompany him.
The man, however, managed to run for his life, but the woman was not lucky as the husband rained on her, inflicting injuries on her before packing her bags and sending her away.
